NDIS HELP

How to Get Help Through the NDIS

If you or someone you care for is living with a disability, you may be eligible for support through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)—a program funded by the Australian Government that helps people access the services they need to live more independently.

Steps to Access Our Services with NDIS Funding

Step 1. Check NDIS Eligibility

  • Be under 65 years of age

  • Have a permanent and significant disability

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

Check your eligibility on the official NDIS website: www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible

Step 2. Apply to the NDIS

If you're eligible, you can apply in two ways:

Online: Fill out the NDIS Access Request Form via their website.

By phone: Call the NDIS directly at 1800 800 110 and request access.

Step 3. Create Your NDIS Plan

Once approved, you’ll be invited to a planning meeting with an NDIS representative to create your NDIS Plan. This is where you can include support services like manual arts classes, social inclusion programs, and skill-building workshops—just like the ones we offer at Build Your Dreams.

You can ask for: Core Supports (e.g., assistance with daily activities)

Capacity Building Supports (e.g., learning new skills or joining the community)

Step 4. Choose Us as Your Service Provider

Once your plan is in place, you can Self-manage your funds, Work with a Plan Manager Or go through the NDIS directly (NDIA-managed)

Let us know your preference, and we’ll help you use your funding to get started with our inclusive programs.

Let’s work together.
